Freakland Festival 2012

Vuelve el Freakland Festival de Ponferrada los días 5, 6 y 7 de abril en su 10ª edición: conciertos, DJs, Allnighters, mercadillo…. Y otro año más los organizadores del evento (amigos de “From Timba to Tumba”) confían a Leviathan el diseño del póster oficial así como el de las camisetas del merchandising. El diseño es un homenaje a Vampira, conocido personaje de los 50 encarnado por la actriz Maila Nurmi, y a la película “Plan 9 from Outer Space”. Este film del año 1959 fue dirigido por Ed Wood, mi director favorito de cine serie B (considerado por otros como el peor director de la historia, en fin!).

Freakland Festival
Freakland Festival returns to Ponferrada (Spain) on 5, 6 and 7 April. In its 10th edition there will be concerts, DJs, Allnighters, market … as always. And once again the organizers of the event (friends of «From Timba to Tumba») rely on Leviathan the design of the official poster and the merchandising T-shirts. The design is a tribute to, for one side: Vampira, the 50s well-known character played by the actress Maila Nurmi. And, for the other side, it’s a tribute to the movie «Plan 9 from Outer Space» (1959). The film was directed by Ed Wood, who is my favourite director of B Movies (contrarily considered by others as the worst director in history!).
